Take NYS Thruway I-90 West to Exit 31 ("Utica" exit, with access to Rt 8 and Rt 12). After the tollbooth, follow the signs for Rt 12 North. Take Rt 12 North to Lowville, approximately 50 miles. In downtown Lowville, Rt 12 intersects with Rt 26. At the intersection, which will be the third traffic light in Lowville, go straight to stay on Rt 26 North.

Climax Manufacturing is located approximately 3/4 mile on the right. You'll actually go up a steep hill that leads out of the village. Lewis County General Hospital will be on the left as you ascend the hill. Our entrance and parking area is approximately 500 feet past the hospital on the right.

From Syracuse, New York

Good Weather*

(1 hour, 45 minutes)

Take NYS Thruway I-81 North to Exit 42 ("Adams Center" exit). Turn right off the exit ramp and take Rt 177 East approximately 25 miles until it intersects with Rt 12 in West Martinsburg. Turn right onto Rt 12 South and proceed another 3 miles into the Village of Lowville. In downtown Lowville, which will be the first traffic light (not flashing light) you approach, turn left onto Rt 26 North.

Inclement Weather*

(2 hours, 30 minutes)

Take NYS Thruway I-81 North to Exit 45 approximately 64 miles ("Arsenal Street" exit). Turn right off the exit ramp and follow Rt 3 through the city of Watertown. This route will take you down Arsenal Street, through "Public Square" and up State Street. On the outer end of the city, Rt 3 will intersect with Rt 12. At this location, there will be a traffic light, a Monroe Muffler Shop on your left, a gas station ahead to your left, and a Cole Muffler shop on your right. Proceed straight through this intersection (toward McDonalds) and go to the next traffic light. It is here where you will turn right on Rt 12 South. Stay on Rt 12 for approximately 28 miles until you reach downtown Lowville. (You will pass through a small hamlet called "Copenhagen".) Once downtown, you will be at a traffic light, which is the intersection of Rt 12 and Rt 26. Turn left onto Rt 26 North.
